CHAPTER 14 wifey

It's been 2 days  long, since i runaway from the wedding. The news headline -

The marriage of Kunwar-sa Kritagya and my sister Trisha telecasting.

I didn't know they had to pay the price of my Blunder.

But ut wasn't a blunder, it was my decision for myself.  Some may call me selfish but this is how, i can achieve what i wanted in my life.

Hmmmm.. enough thoughts for today maybe now i should go and dress up myself for My FIRST DAY IN OFFICE....

YAYAYYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAY

I was literally screaming internally.

The day has come for me...

I woke up in bugatti 🎶 🎵

I heard Ishaanvi alarm loud and clear, she loves rock band and music.

Her morning alarms will really one day  give me heart attack.

I removed her arm from my waist and got up, she is really a hugger while sleeping.

Her Look for her first day at office.

I still remember my mummy gave me this butterfly Chandi ka Payal for me on my 18th birthday. I have only wore it on my birthday,  after that i have kept it save for my special day which is today.

Today, I decided to wear my favorite suit, which I purchased from Teeshow, an online clothing store. Although the fit is snug and the neckline plunges a bit more than I usually prefer, I feel elated and confident. My mood is as open and free as my long, luscious hair, which I left loose instead of styling into a bun or braid. I want to spread positivity wherever I go.

(A/N - Author is Ganji Chudail that's why Roshni ko Lambe baal de kar mann hi mann khush hu main 🥲)

Roshni - Ishu uthna, maine poha bana diya hai. You should eat it with tea, okay? Bye, baby.

I called out to Ishaanvi, who was still lost in her deep slumber. I pressed a tight kiss on her cheek, eliciting a sleepy groan.

She always protests when I shower her with affection like this. But I can't help it—my baby sister is just so cute! 💖

Little traitor, i still haven't forgive him for snuggling up to him that day he first came to my home.

He is very protective and aggressive cat but with him, he melts like an ice in a summer afternoon.

I love Chico and Pillu to my heart core but they act really weird like snuggling up to eachother in sleep but the moment they woken and big hurricane fight broke out. I got Pillu on my 18th birthday and ishaanvi  was crying aloud, also wanted one for herself, so Dad had to rush out next day same adoption centre he got pillu, he brought home Chico too. When we found out they are buddies since, they opened their eyes warmed my heart.

Now here we are, papa and mumma came to visit us yesterday in here. They don't know the truth, Papa told me he was ashamed that he couldn't understood my feelings and told me work as much i want to work, he will never talk about my marriage ever again.

Chalo bhaii anth bhala toh sab Bhala...

I gave Chico his favorite food and went towards my destination.

At Office-

The morning light filtered through the large glass windows as I stepped into my new office, my heart aflutter with excitement and a touch of nervousness. Walking through the doors felt surreal—after all the hard work and endless nights spent preparing, I was finally here, working in my dream office as a Customer Communication and Helper Provider.

I took a deep breath, allowing the moment to sink in. The hustle and bustle of the office enveloped me, a symphony of phone calls, keyboard clicks, and the soft murmur of conversations. It was a living, breathing entity, and I was now a part of it.

As I settled into my desk, I noticed a small welcome card from my team. It was a simple gesture, but it warmed my heart. I knew that I was entering a supportive environment, one where I could grow and thrive professionally.

The day ahead promised to be full of new experiences and challenges. I was ready to learn, to contribute, and to make every interaction count. Whether it was helping a customer solve a problem or providing guidance to someone in need, I was determined to be the best version of myself.

In my role, communication is key. It's about listening, understanding, and responding with empathy. I looked forward to building connections, forging relationships that would be both meaningful and impactful. Every call, every email, and every conversation was an opportunity to make a difference.

- Hello are you new here?

Someone called me from beside my desk.

I turned in  my chair  to look at her better.

She is cute, a little small in height, wearing specs around her eyes. Fashionable i can say that, she was wearing business suits.

Roshni- Ah.. yes and my name is Roshni Gupta and what about you?

I asked her with a polite smile on my face.

- Myself Naina Sehgal. And have a good day at work.

She replied to me in a rush tone and went back to work.

I raised my eyebrows, what?? What happened to her? I looked over to my shoulder, i saw Managing head director office. Scary he was standing at his side window and was looking at us, the moment he caught my gaze he averted his eyes.

A moment later i got call from Reception,  one instruction to go towards Managing director for introduction.

Okay i guess, i have some work to do.

I walked towards his office-

Mr. Jayesh Patil.

Managing Director.

I saw his Nameplate on the door.

Knock knock- Sir you called for me.

I said as i entered his office.

He stood up from his chair and motioned towards to sit on the chair. He was busy on a call. I awkwardly sat on the chair and waited for him.

After few minutes, he ended the call and greet me.

Mr. Patil-  Hello miss??

He asked me

I stood up - Roshni Gupta Sir.

I replied to him, full enthusiastically.

Mr. Patil - Okay ms. Roshni, i guess it's your first day at work right?

I nodded.

Mr. Patil-Okay help me arrange this files and then  bring me some coffee.

He said in his authoritative tone.

It was awkward to hear even at work bring me coffee like what am i maid or employee??

I wanted to say it loud but i didn't.

After  few hours, i finally arranged the file alphabetically and also date wise.

It was almost 200 files. It was alot of work, then i went and told the pion to bring his coffee to his office.

Meri jutti degi usko coffee laa kar.

I wanted to be best kind of employee but i can't anyone walk all over me at work be it Managing director or CEO.

I have heard about Workplace harassment alot on Online site and i have no intention to be the victim of it.

Pion- Madam voo Patil sir aapko bula rahe hai.

He told me.

I nodded at him and went towards his office.

Mr. Patil was pacing in his office.

Mr. Patil- I told you to bring me coffee.

He had angry tone.

Roshni- Sir the company has pion for this work and for office works employees like me. I have already arranged the files and put it on your desk, have a good day sir.

Mr. Patil was furious- Ohhh.. okay

Ms. Gupta bring me the Oberoi collaboration file.

He told me, while gesturing towards his desk.

I simply nodded and went towards his desk to give him the file.

I felt a presence behind me, i turned abruptly and saw him too close.

Roshni- Sir you are 50 years old behave yourself, you can't  be too close to an employee like me.

I told him in firm tone while maintaining a distance.

Mr. Patil- I was just checking the file okay. You don't have to create a scandal around it.

He said still didn't move from his side.

I gave him the file and went for the door but he have audacity to grab  my hand.

I tried to pull it away but his grip was strong.

Mr. Patil- Oh come on, a young women like you in this company, do you think you can stay in this office without giving me extra benefits.

He is  crossing his limits now making me angry.

Just when i was about to K-O him move (learned from Ishu)

Someone entered the Cabin.

- Mr. PATIL, you are summoned to the Main office.

She was wearing business suite and had sharp look on her face.

He was panicking and let my hand go.

- Tell about this to anyone, you will watch your career burn in flame.

He threatened me.

When he left the office, i went towards my desk after greeting the angle who just came on time saving him from my wrath.

Why ... why is this always happens to us. When we want to do something,  monsters like him makes us gate our work, our dream becomes our nightmare.

The day ended and next day i had no desire to go office but still i need to have atleast 2 years of experience to switch my job.

I went towards my desk but there were flowers, huh weird today is my second day. I looked around and caught Naina in the corner.

Roshni-Naina what is going on? Why are there flowers in my desk?

I asked her.

Naina - oh, we have a new CEO coming today, And about that old Managing Director, he resigned from his post.

she said with excitement, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

Naina's words were a breath of fresh air as she informed me of the changes at the office.

I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me.

Naina-  You're lucky for us, He was a pain for all the female employees here

Naina continued, her tone grateful.

Encouraging me to step forward, she added

- Come on, go inside the CEO's cabin, and pay your respects to him. We've already welcomed him an hour ago.

The atmosphere at work was noticeably lighter, a shared sense of happiness and hopefulness filling the air. Everyone seemed more at ease, and the promise of new leadership brought with it the possibility of positive change.

As I made my way to the CEO's cabin, I couldn't help but smile, hopeful for what lay ahead. The departure of the old Managing Director and the arrival of a new CEO marked the dawn of a new chapter for all of us, one that was eagerly awaited and warmly embraced.

I knocked on th door and went inside.

Ohh... his office is big like a conference room. Their is lavish Couch set, one Couch is settled in the corner of the office.

One door god knows lead to where

And his Office has a calming scent.

The CEO has received lots of welcoming flowers and wishes.

Must be Gentleman, everyone seems to love his presence.

Roshni- Uhmm.. sir??

I called but no response.

I decided to wait for him but then i heard a door lock click.

I turned around to find the only person i don't wanted to see after running away from him.

Roshni couldn't believe her eyes as she saw Samrat leaning casually against the doorframe, exuding an air of effortless authority, as if he owned the entire building. His presence was commanding, drawing the eyes of everyone in the room. He wore a crisp white shirt that contrasted sharply with his tailored black business pants, the sleeves rolled up just enough to reveal strong forearms. A gleaming watch adorned his wrist, catching the light and adding to his aura of sophistication.

His dark hair was perfectly tousled, giving him a look of careless elegance, There was an undeniable charisma about him, the kind that made hearts flutter and breaths hitch. His features were chiseled, as though sculpted by a master artist, and an arrogant, yet oddly endearing smirk played on his lips.

Samrat- Hey there, wifey.

he drawled, his voice smooth and rich, with a hint of teasing mischief. The words hung in the air, dripping with irony and a touch of playfulness.

I was  momentarily speechless.

I was was taken aback by the revelation that this captivating figure was not only my  new boss but also someone who seemed to belong in the pages of a romantic novel i was reading last night.

His  presence was magnetic, his confidence intoxicating.

I greeted him - Hello.. hello Sir.

My voice was shaking and shuttering.

I gulped and tried to calm my breath.

I pulled my dupatta closer to my neck and tried to leave his office and he gave me space??

Roshni- Are you not going to ask me anything sir?

I was confused, he didn't wanted to talk then why did he closed the door.

Samrat- No.. i have nothing to say, you can leave Ms.Gupta if you want  to, no pressure.

Is he mocking me??

Author's pov

Roshni stood at the threshold of Samrat's office, her resolve wavering as she prepared to leave. Her heart pounded with a mix of frustration and defiance, emotions swirling like a tempest within her. She paused, her hand lingering on the doorknob, before turning back to face him.

With deliberate steps, Roshni approached him, her eyes fixed intently on his. Her voice was a quiet storm, each word a carefully crafted warning.

Roshni -Samrat, you can't tell anyone about the wedding, especially the part where I ran away and you were supposed to be the groom.

she said, her tone firm, yet tinged with vulnerability.

Samrat- And why would I do that, ms.Gupta. It’s quite the juicy secret to keep, isn’t it?

he teased, his voice smooth and light.

As he spoke, Samrat reached out, his fingers gently weaving through the long, thick strands of her hair. The touch was familiar, yet electrifying, sending a shiver down Roshni's spine. She felt her defenses crumbling, the playful banter between them igniting a fire within her.

Roshni- You're playing a dangerous game, I'm not going to let you win this time.

She warned, her voice a mix of irritation and amusement.

Samrat chuckled softly, his hand still idly twirling her hair.

Samrat- Who said anything about winning, Roshni? Maybe I just enjoy watching you explode like a volcano.

His words were both infuriating and thrilling, a challenge wrapped in flirtation. Roshni felt the heat rising in her cheeks, a testament to the battle of wills between them. She was determined not to let him get the upper hand, even if it meant embracing the fiery dance they seemed destined to share.
